When creating buzz for an upcoming game that will doubtlessly become a hit, it’s still best to play it safe and focus on the positive aspects of what the game has to offer. That is to say, if you’ve announced certain features for a title that have created a particular appeal, it’s probably best to conveniently ‘forget’ to mention that the hyped certain features will not be making the release day cut. So regardless of whether it is developer Media Molecule’s or publisher Sony’s decision to ship LittleBigPlanet a bit on the lighter side, the following news is a bit disappointing.
The good in the bad however, is that the two features in question have not been cut from the game entirely, and will be available for download at a later point. These two features that will be missing the launch boat are online creation mode and video sharing. The former feature will allow users “to create levels together online in a multiplayer jamming mode” with the latter feature enabling LittleBigPlaneteers to share videos of their adventures within the game.
The game has officially gone gold which means that there is no chance that these features will be added to the disc release of the game, but hopefully the missing features will be available for download not long after the 23rd of October release date.
