The Opening Cinematic of Skyward Sword Ruins… Absolutely Nothing
That’s right part (I assume it’s just a part because I see no weird sequence of us watching Link asleep and then him waking up and looking at us like “wtf… why were you watching me sleep?”. Yeah, I’m pretty sure Na’vi was a paedophile) of the opening cinematic of Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is here for all your viewing pleasure.
Now I’ve heard doubts that watching this cinematic might ruin some of the game for you, and considering that A. this is a Zelda game, B. this is a Zelda game and C. this has been heralded as “the last game on the Nintendo Wii” (good game, that is) I’m pretty sure people would be fairly pissed if anyone spoiled it for them.
That’s why I won’t tell you that the Zelda in Skyward Sword is actually Zelda’s mother and she dies in childbirth in the final chapters of the game which is why Zelda is being raised as an only child in Ocarina of Time.
Lol did that piss you off? Because I just made it up. Sounds like a real spoiler though hey?
In all seriousness, about the only things that this spoils is that you play Skyward Sword on an island in the sky (which isn’t called Laputa for some reason) and there is some form of mystical power within the game. Half of which you can get from any trailer of the game to date, the other half being a prerequisite for every Legend of Zelda game ever made.
Still, if you are looking for a way to refresh the burning urge to buy Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, this will probably do the trick.
