Semrush’s AU database gives FC 26 9,900 monthly lookups and the long-tail EA Sports FC 26 another 2,900. Same annual. Same problem: too many SKUs, and a Standard price that depends on whether you are looking at PSN or Steam.
EA Canada and EA Romania developed it. Electronic Arts published it. Standard landed 26 September 2025. It is out. This page is the Australian receipt.

Dates
- Standard: 26 September 2025 worldwide. Xbox AU and PlayStation AU listed 25 September depending on how the storefront stores the timezone.
- Ultimate Edition: early access the week prior — the usual EA “pay to start on Friday instead of Thursday” window.
If you wanted launch-week Ultimate Team, that window is closed. If you wanted the match engine on a sale, October 2026 is the more interesting month.
Platforms
PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 (PS5 Pro Enhanced on Sony’s page). Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One as a dual-entitlement pair on Xbox’s Standard SKU. Windows PC. Nintendo has sold FC on Switch in this generation — read the listing; the portable build is not the same conversation as the PS5 one.
EA’s dual-entitlement footnote lives on ea.com. Cross-gen on Xbox is the version that does not make you buy the annual twice when you upgrade the box. Cross-gen on PlayStation is a product title you have to read.
The edition ladder
EA’s naming is a slot machine. In Australia you will see some mix of these:

World’s Game is a pack of untradeable Ultimate Team items. It does not make Career Mode a different sport. If you do not play Football Ultimate Team, it is a very expensive gold pack.
Steam’s A$39 Standard (13 October 2026) is the number that should stop anyone paying PSN’s $109.95 if they were going to play on PC anyway. Console lock-in is the only reason the full sticker still exists.

EA Play, Game Pass, FC Points
EA Play (bundled on some Game Pass SKUs) is the trial door, historically about ten hours. Useful as a test. Useless as a plan to “just finish Career.” Confirm the live trial length on EA’s site; they change it.
Game Pass Ultimate is not a promise that the full annual sits in the catalogue all year. Read our Ultimate guide, then the Xbox comparison chart, then decide.
FC Points are the other till. Steam AU lists them from A$1.85 (100) to A$79.95 (5,900). That ladder is how a $39 game becomes a $150 winter. We will not moralise it. We will not pretend it is part of Standard.
Online play on PlayStation wants Plus. EA wants an EA account. Both are footnotes people skip and then email the desk about.
