GTA 6 Release Date Australia: 19 November 2026, PS5 and Xbox, No Review Yet

"GTA 6 release date Australia" is a search box with a pulse. People type it because Rockstar trained a generation to treat calendars as rumours. As of this filing the date is still the date: Thursday 19 November 2026, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, worldwide.

That is not a review. Amelia's Vice City preview is the hands-on weather report. This is the Australian logistics note. When we have played the shipped build, a score will live on the GTA 6 hub. Until then, anyone selling you a "GTA 6 review" is writing fiction.

The date, without the mythology

Rockstar locked 19 November 2026 after the earlier Fall 2025 window moved. Take-Two has kept repeating it in earnings language. We are two months out as of 5 September 2026. Another slip is possible in the way every Rockstar slip is possible. It is not the working assumption.

November 19 is a Thursday. Australian unlocks for big Sony/Microsoft launches are usually that calendar date, often in the evening or the small hours depending on which store you used. We are not inventing a midnight AEDT screenshot. If you need to be in Vice City at the first possible legal second, pre-load and assume you are staying up.

No PS4. No Xbox One. If someone at a BBQ tells you otherwise, they are remembering GTA V.

No PC date. The Windows port will almost certainly exist later. It does not exist as a day-one SKU you can pre-order with a straight face.

What we actually know about the game (and what we do not)

Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos. A couple, not two icons on a wheel. Vice City as weather. Six-star wanted level back. Amelia's preview is the texture: density, heat, a city that notices you.

We do not have a scored campaign. We do not have a finished Online pitch you should budget your personality around. We do not have a reason to reorganise a 2026 games budget around a trailer, which is why Best PS5 games 2026 still treats GTA 6 as a coming storm, not a purchase.

Australia: EB, JB, PSN, Xbox, the code in the box

Live prices move. The pattern since pre-orders opened in June 2026:

• Standard listings at Australian storefronts have sat around $129.95 AUD.
• Ultimate / deluxe bundles cost more for cosmetics, story dressing, and the usual Rockstar garnish. If the extra is not a number you can see on a live product page, do not take it from a screenshot in a Facebook group.
• Physical is a download code in a box. There is no disc to lend your cousin. Take-Two has been explicit. You are paying for packaging and a code that has to arrive in time to pre-load.
• Pre-load: Take-Two has pointed at 12 November 2026, a week out. Digital PSN AU and Xbox AU are the clean path. Physical only works if EB, JB, Amazon, or whoever you used actually puts the code in your hand before the 12th.

If a listing promises midnight launch and in-store pickup and a disc, read it twice.

Game Pass, Plus, and the patience myth
